The Atyrau regional administration of interpreneurship and industrial-innovative development is the authorised body in tourism development. It pursues the public policy on tourism, coordinates activities of tourist organisations, and provides assistance in developing and improving interaction between them. Atyrau region offers good environment for tourism and recreation. It has capacities to develop such types of tourism as cultural, sport and business tourism. Currently, the region has 40 tourist organisations 52 hotels. A lot of business people in the world are aware of Atyrau, the regions’s main city and Kazakhstan’s oil capital. About 480 foreign companies from more than 50 countries now work in the region. The Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development Department of Zhambyl Region Akimat is a public institution, managing in the field of tourism. There are 33 tourist companies, 84 hotel resorts and 5 sanatorium and health resorts, operating in the region, which provide a wide range of services to arrange the recreation and treatment for local and foreign tourists. The competitive advantage of Zhambyl region is in its unique culture (historical tourism), picturesque wild nature (eco-tourism: diversity of natural and climatic zones and biotypes, 19 species of tulips, developed tour itineraries along the gorges, barkhans, there are classified itineraries for alpine activities, the high mountain glaciers and passes), and also opportunities for active recreation, such as sports tourism, water tourism, adventure tourism.

State department of Tourism, physical culture and sport of Astana city is a structural department of city administration of Astana city. The department is responsible for building up, realization and implementation of state policy in tourism, physical culture and sport. In association with other involved organizations the department establish and expand internal and international touristic relationships, provide the participance in domestic and international travel fairs and sport events.

Almaty city Tourism Department is the government organization, implementing the state policy in the field of tourism in the city of Almaty, coordinates the activities of tourism companies, promotes the development and strengthening of their relations. Since 2012 is a member of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The task of the Department is to develop the tourism industry at Baikonur Complex, provide help to Baikonur tour operators in their growth and cooperate with tour operators and agencies in order to develop tourism at Baikonur Complex. Kyzylorda takes a special place in the history of Kazakhstan as it was the first capital of the republic after October revolution. At this region there were 4 capitals of 3 states. It were Chirik Rabat, Zhent, Sygnak and, of course, Kyzylorda. A lot of sights of area bear a legend name, everything is literally impregnated with spirit of the mystical forefather. For Kyzylorda’s people Korkyt – is the nice ancestor, for the world – a legend. Something on the verge of a fantasy. The city of Baikonur – is the space harbor. The spaceport has great international value. The first space flight was carried out from this spaceport on April 12, 1961.
