Tourism and Foreign Affairs Department of Almaty City is the executive body of the Republic of Kazakhstan which is authorized to perform the functions of state management and coordination in the field of tourism in the city of Almaty. Also under the authority of Department is Tourist Information Center of Almaty city. The main purpose of the Department is to promote the tourism product on the international tourism market and within the state, research tourism market, negotiation and conclusion of agreements with international organizations in the field of tourism for the promotion of Almaty city, provision of tourism information and provisionof methodological and consultative assistance to the tourism entity.
